Saturday July 26 Depart Auckland per Singapore Airlines and fly Singapore for team tour-opening party. Overnight in Singapore. Sunday July 27 Fly Singapore to Rome. Monday July 28 At leisure in Rome Tuesday July 29 The team will be picked up and transferred to fixture no1 in Rome district. The team will be hosted by (among others) Simone Gambino who is the effervescent and enthusiastic President of Italian Cricket. Wednesday July 30 At leisure in Rome catching up on some of the places that you missed on Monday. Thursday July 31 The team will be picked up and transferred to fixture no 2 in Rome district with similar arrangements to Tuesday. Friday August 1 Travel per air from Rome to Nice-a flight of approximately an hour and a quarter. Saturday August 2 Team will be picked up and transferred for fixture no 3 in Nice region Sunday August 3 At leisure in Nice. Monday August 4 Travel Nice to Paris-a trip of approximately 5 hours on the TGV-the fast train. (up to 320kmh) Picked up at the train station and transferred to accommodation Tuesday August 5 Transfer to fixture no 4 in Paris at the Standard Athletic Club Ground Wednesday August 6 At leisure in Paris. Thursday August 7 Transfer to fixture no 5 at Chantilly north of Paris against Chantilly Cricket Club and a reception with members of the France Cricket Foundation. Friday August 8 At leisure in Paris. (Climb the big pointy thing) Saturday August 9 Transfer per rail (Chunnel) Paris to London. Transfer by coach to Stratford-upon-Avon (approx 90 minutes). Check in to Holiday Inn-headquarters hotel for the Carnival, category bronze and right in the middle of Stratford-upon-Avon. Carnival commences. Sunday August 10 Carnival begins with early evening Opening Party at Holiday Inn commencing at 6.30pm and featuring substantial finger food, complimentary beer, wine and juice. Monday August 11 Carnival fixture no 1 at a local village ground with tea provided upon arrival, lunch between innings and good English Cricket hospitality at the conclusion of the game. Tuesday August 12 At leisure with a number of Vintage Cricket tour and excursion options in place. Wednesday August 13 Carnival fixture no 2 as for Monday. Thursday August 14 At leisure with an optional Vintage Cricket excursion-details to be advised but likely to involve long boats, rivers and canals, an English country pub and traditional pub games (not just darts). Friday August 15 Carnival fixture no 3. An earlier start and return to accommodation to attend the Finale Dinner commencing at 8pm and including a three course dinner, beer, wine, juices and entertainment. Saturday August 16 Leave Stratford for on travel or return to airport and home.
