The VSL Team

Vintage Sports and Leisure manages sporting events and tours and provides consultancy services to the industry.

Recently appointed Managing Director of Vintage Sport and Leisure Ltd.

Background/ History: 
Nigel is a business
growth and transformation specialist with 16 years experience in USA, England, Australia and New Zealand. Nigel has been involved in a variety of sectors around the globe including Financial Services, Energy and Utilities, Public Sector, Environment and Telecommunications. Nigel holds a PhD in Marine Policy from the University of Delaware, an MA (Hons) in Environmental Studies at Victoria University of New Zealand, MSc (Hons) in Geography at Canterbury University of New Zealand.

Nigel has represented New Zealand as a member of a delegation to the United Nations, prepared draft legislation for the State of Delaware Government and was lead author for a World Bank funded evaluation program for the Centre for the Study of Marine Policy (USA). Amongst his studies and high-level employment Nigel has retained his love of sports and was team leader of a Chicago Cricket Team that attended the Vintage Cricket Carnival in Barbados.

Background/ History:
Róisín is an Events Manager from Ireland where she had considerable events and sporting experience. Róisín holds a BSc (Hons) in Sports Management from University College, Dublin. Róisín had 4 years with Verve Marketing as an Event Team Leader and Account Executive and subsequently 2 years as a Sales Team Manager, Event Coordinator & Duty Manager at David Lloyd Riverview Raquets, Health and Fitness Club in Dublin.

Róisín has a strong interest in sports and was an official at the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Dublin and regularly volunteered at the annual Irish Blind Sports Day. She represented Dublin in the All-Ireland Basketball League and competed in the Dublin Women’s Mini Marathon

PeopleData is used by VSL for its databases. The Object/Relationship based business application that considers the person to be the most important component of any database has particular application to VSL and its clients.


Support at locations

Vintage Sports seek support and involvement from local sports authorities and sports clubs who are part of the planning of Vintage Sports Carnivals.
Vintage Sports consults with local authorities at each venue to ensure that participants in Carnivals are welcomed by local communities and have access to top facilities.
At each venue, a local organisation is engaged to ensure accommodation, functions and transfers are arranged to the satisfaction of all participants.
